Carbon Emissions
Scope 2 is indirect emissions from the energy you buy.
These are the emissions from the electricity, heat, or steam a company buys to run its operations. Although the company doesn’t produce these emissions directly, they happen because the company uses energy from another source.
For example, the electricity you use to power your office. The emissions from the power plant generating that electricity count as Scope 2.
To calculate our Scope 2 emissions, you need data from your electricity bills – like your kilowatt hours. It’s important to also know what supplier your electricity came from.
