UPDATE 1-UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Sept 21

Sept 21 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 index is seen opening 35 points higher on Tuesday, with futures up 0.77%.

* COMPASS: Compass Group forecast fourth-quarter revenues slightly above expectations as sports fans throng stadiums again and students come back to campuses.

* SIG: Building materials supplier SIG Plc said that the impact from material shortages could be more significant than in the first half of the fiscal year, and could persist for an extended period.

* KINGFISHER: Kingfisher reported a 61.6% jump in first-half profit on the back of a pandemic do-it-yourself boom and raised its sales expectations for the second half.

* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca said it would invest $360 mln to develop an advanced manufacturing facility in Ireland to produce primary ingredients for medicines.

* ALPHAWAVE: Canadian semiconductor technology company Alphawave raised its 2021 guidance after reporting a 140% rise in first-half revenue in its first results since it listed in London in May.

* STAGECOACH: National Express is in talks to acquire rival operator Stagecoach Group in an all-share deal.

* GOLD: Gold prices inched lower, as cautious investors braced for the U.S. Federal Reserve's guidance for tapering and interest rate hikes.

* OIL: Oil prices rose as analysts pointed to signs of U.S. supply tightness, ending days of losses as global markets remain haunted by the potential impact on China's economy of a crisis at heavily indebted property group China Evergrande.

* London's FTSE 100 ended at a two-month low on Monday, dragged down by heavyweight miners and banking stocks, while concerns about rising inflation also weighed on the index.
