Going abroad and transacting in a foreign currency is less hassle with us.
We have a range of options available to help you whether you are going on holiday or wanting to pay someone in another currency.
Use your debit or credit card
Did you know you can travel light and use your Visa debit or credit card to conveniently and securely access money or pay for goods and services abroad? It offers you access to your money worldwide and means you don’t have to carry lots of cash. You can use your card in shops, hotels, filling stations, restaurants etc abroad – anywhere Visa Credit or MasterCard Credit is accepted or where Visa Debit is accepted for Visa debit cards.
When using your card(s) to pay in a currency other than sterling, currency conversion fees and cash advance fees may apply. See our debit card or relevant credit card page for more details.
Travel insurance
To ensure your holiday is a memorable one for all the right reasons, make sure to get travel insurance before you go. Whether you are looking for Single-trip or Multi-trip cover, or are off to Europe or travelling around the world, we have you covered with a plan tailored to suit you.
