Our Junior Saver Account is designed for babies, 11 year olds, and anyone in between.
A regular savings habit is one of the best starts in life your child can have. It’s one of the first big steps towards helping them make important decisions and plan for their future. Little by little, you can watch their money grow!
The Junior Saver Account can be opened by parents or guardians or children aged seven or older provided they have the consent of their parent or guardian. Please note you must be a UK resident to open an account with us.

No commission charge for foreign currency
There are no commission charges on foreign currency notes transactions completed at an AIB branch.

Flexibility to save what you want with instant access in-branch when you need it
Your child can save as little or as much as they like in the Junior Saver Account. There is no minimum or maximum limit. Lodgements can be made via your local branch or at the Post Office using your Post Office cash deposit card.
You also have the flexibility to withdraw any amount (within the daily limits) any time in your local branch.

Move onto the Student 12-18 account when they turn 12
When your child reaches the age of 12, we will convert their account to a Student 12-18 Account.
Their account details will not change and we will contact them at this stage to confirm this change. -

To open a new Junior Saver Account for your child, simply call into your local AIB branch or call us on 0345 6005 925†
Please note you must be a UK resident to open an account with us.
You only need identification documentation (such as a birth certificate or adoption certificate for your child) and proof of parent or guardian's identity and address (such as your passport and electricity bill) to open the account.
